GOPI-H AND GOFB-H HYBRID FIRE-TUBE STEAM GENERATORS
GOPI-H
The integration of hybrid technologies into latest-generation fire-tube boilers represents a particularly effective solution for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the most recent European directives and trends regarding industrial decarbonization. At the same time, this approach offers an important opportunity to contain operating costs, especially when integrated with energy production systems from renewable sources, such as photovoltaic plants. These machines are designed to optimize the overall energy consumption of the facility, allowing the generation of up to 20% of steam production using self-produced electrical energy. Consequently, the use of such systems allows an estimated reduction of up to 20% in greenhouse gas emissions, in addition to a proportional abatement of energy costs in the utility bill. In this context, the hybrid solution serves as a strategic response to energy price instability, ensuring greater efficiency, sustainability, and predictability of industrial costs.
The GOPI-H series includes Low NOx steam generators with a three-pass reverse-flame architecture. These units cover a production range between 150 and 5,000 kg/h, with operating pressures from 8 to 30 bar. Their high configuration flexibility allows the integration of an economizer, further improving energy efficiency and reducing operating costs.
All GOPI-H model boilers can be prepared for remote control, in a packaged configuration, and for operation with reduced attendance of the licensed operator (24 or 72 hours), in compliance with current regulations.
To this end, the generators are equipped with one or two fail-safe safety probes and all the required auxiliary devices. The accessory equipment includes advanced solutions for the control and optimization of the thermal cycle:
- Feed and degassing systems
- Feedwater tank
- Deaerator
- Redundant pump
- Fluid management
- High-temperature water loading system (>80°C)
- Continuous dissolved solids control
- Blowdown tank
- Timed automatic discharge
- Steam temperature increase
- Steam superheater
GOFB-H
The adoption of hybrid systems in modern fire-tube boilers constitutes an effective response to European decarbonization targets, allowing the abatement of greenhouse gas emissions. This technology, especially when combined with renewable sources such as photovoltaics, significantly reduces operating expenses: thanks to the use of self-produced electrical energy, it is possible to generate up to 20% of the required steam. This optimization translates into savings on utility bills and a reduction in emissions, both estimated at up to 20%. The hybrid system therefore offers stability, efficiency, and a more predictable economic management.
The GOFB-H series steam boilers are designed for heavy industry and the management of high loads. These are wet-back and Low NOx machines, with three or four smoke passes, capable of a production between 2,000 and 30,000 kg/h and operating pressures from 8 to 30 bar. To maximize system efficiency, the possibility of integrating an economizer is provided.
